Hamann 2 Fund Scholarship

MAF is pleased to announce its newest scholarship for architecture students, the Hamann2 Fund Scholarship. The $2,000 scholarship will provide financial assistance to 3rd year or 4th year undergraduate architecture students enrolled in any of Michigan’s five college and university architecture programs who aspire to a career in architecture with a business focus.

This year marks the inaugural year for the scholarship award (deadline for this and all MAF scholarships is March 14, 2025. click here for more information and to apply

The Hamann2 Fund Scholarship was the idea of the Diekema Hamann Architecture + Engineering leadership team,  and was established through gifts from individuals, companies, and firm president Norm Hamann, Jr. Norm Jr. broadened the scholarship to memorialize his father, the late architect Norman Hamann, Sr.

Architecture students from the University of Michigan, University of Detroit/Mercy, Lawrence Technological University, Ferris State University, and Andrews University admitted or currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in architecture, and in their 3rd or 4th year of study, are eligible to apply for the Hamann2 Fund Scholarship. Applicants must aspire to a career in architecture, while integrating business courses as part of their elective course options, including but not limited to accounting, microeconomics, macroeconomics, statistics, or marketing.
