3. Contribute in honor of an individual.
4. Start an endowment fund to ensure the future of your beliefs.

Many of us would like to honor colleagues, friends or family as a way of cementing forever their values, relationships or contributions to architecture. There are a few options and the requirements are simple.
Scholarship Fund
You may start a named scholarship with a pledge to endow it over ten years. The MAF policy is that a maximum of 4% of an endowed fund may be distributed in a given calendar year. Today, the minimum pledge is $50,000, providing a $2,000 year scholarship. A Designated Fund Agreement is required.
Purpose Fund
You may designate a specific program or purpose for an endowed fund. The minimum pledge amount is $50,000, to be achieved within ten years of the start of the fund. A Designated Fund Agreement is required.
Legacy Fund
You may designate the MAF in your will or provide a bequest. Upon receipt of the bequest or will proceeds, a fund will be established if you so designate, or it will be applied toward an MAF program of your choosing.
If you are interested in starting a fund, you may contact an Officer of the Michigan Architectural Foundation to discuss your goals and details of the endowment, and to develop a Designated Fund Agreement.
