The purpose of the annual event is to thank MAF’s donors and supporters for the necessary and important work they do, and to celebrate with those who share a common love of Michigan architecture, the built environment, and the importance of nurturing future architects.
Each year, the social event is held in an interesting architecture venue. 2018 marked the first Donor Recognition event, titled, ‘What is it About Architecture?’ held at Detroit’s historic Guardian Building. Since then, MAF Donor Recognition Events have been held at St. Cecilia Music Center in Grand Rapids; again at Detroit's Guardian Building; and virtually during COVID.
