Great food, great wine, and the opportunity to socialize face-to-face with friends and colleagues in a historic venue added up to a successful MAF scholarship fundraiser.
America Uncorked, this year’s MAF scholarship fundraiser, was held at the Detroit Athletic Club on November 11. The event, attended by a record 146 guests, raised over $29,000 and celebrated America’s culture and wine regions. Proceeds benefited the Katherine & John Banicki Scholarship and the IDS/Paul Stachowiak Scholarship funds.
The evening started with a sparkling wine reception, followed by Lindsey Hlubic, Detroit Athletic Club’s Certified Master Sommelier. She presented six wines from undiscovered regional vintners with paired appetizers.
