Another successful annual MAF Fore a Great Cause Golf Outing is in the books! The 2023 event, which took place Monday, May 22, at Plum Hollow Country Club in Southfield, raised $22,277. A total of 108 golfers participated.
MAF’s annual golf outing fundraiser is a key source of investment and support for the $32,500 a year granted in MAF architecture student scholarships. The event also supports MAF’s architecture-based educational and awareness programs, including K12 programs and Architecture Awareness Grants.
“We had a tremendous event this year,” said MAF Fore a Great Cause golf outing co-chair Brandon Kinsey, Hon. Aff. AIAMI. “Plum Hollow was a great host, and the weather was perfect. We are very grateful for everyone who volunteered, donated, and participated. I want to give special recognition to my co-chair Kevin Shultis and the entire golf committee for their time and efforts supporting the event.”
As part of the golf outing, a silent auction of sports tickets and memorabilia, art, and other items raised $6,000; the auction is the first of two annual MAF Auction for Education events (the second takes place at the AIA Michigan/AGC 2023 Midsummer Conference).
