The Michigan Architectural Foundation (MAF) is pleased to announce it has named three new individuals to its Board of Trustees, effective January 2022. Each will serve a two-year term.

MAF’s new board members are:

Jeff Hausman, AIA, LEED AP. Jeff is Senior Vice President and Director of the Detroit and Pittsburgh offices for SmithGroup, Inc. Jeff is a returning MAF board member and was previously program chair for the (now defunct) MAF High School Design Competition for eight years.

Brandon Kinsey, Hon. Aff. AIAMI. Brandon serves as CENTRIA’s District Sales Manager in the greater Detroit area, where he oversees sales projects from design through construction. Brandon is a returning MAF board member and is co-chair of MAF’s ‘Fore a Great Cause’ annual golf outing committee.

Amy Scoby (Baumer). Amy is Senior Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at The Christman Company.  She provides corporate leadership for the firm’s marketing, business development and government relations activities. She is also a member of MAF’s Development Committee.

“On behalf of the Michigan Architectural Foundation, we are pleased to welcome Jeff, Brandon, and Amy to the MAF board,” said Doug Kueffner, AIA, MAF 2022/2023 President. “Each will be a tremendous asset to MAF in our mission to advance awareness and appreciation of Michigan architecture, and in continuing to build our programs and our endowment.”

MAF also re-elected a number of Trustees to serve another two-year term on the MAF board.  Those re-elected are Jan Culbertson, FAIA, Rae Dumke, Hon. AIA, Gene Hopkins, FAIA, Tom Mathison, FAIA, Cathy Mosley, Hon Aff. AIAMI, Cindy Pozolo, FAIA, and Les Tincknell, FAIA-E.

MAF also wants to thank its outgoing board members for their service: Dan Bollman, AIA; Park Smith, AIA; and Bob Washer, Hon. Aff. AIAMI.

“MAF owes its success and growth to all of the dedicated board members who have served MAF since our inception,” said Doug. “We are grateful to every current and former MAF board member, for the impact they have made on MAF and on those we serve.”
