Donor Recognition Event

The purpose of the event is to thank MAF’s donors and supporters for the necessary and important work they do, and to celebrate with those who share a common love of Michigan architecture, the built environment, and the importance of nurturing future architects.

Annually, the Board of Trustees hosts a social event in an interesting architecture venue to thank donors for their support. 2018 marked the first edition of the event, titled, ‘What is it About Architecture?’ It was held at Detroit’s historic Guardian Building.

The 2020 Donor Recognition Event was held as a virtual event on October 27. The event featured presentations on two restoration projects supported by MAF: Mackinac Island’s Biddle House and Starkweather Memorial Chapel, recipient of MAF’s 2020 Evans Graham Preservation Award.
