This year’s “Auction for Education” at the AIAMI/AGC Midsummer Conference on Mackinac Island at The Grand Hotel did not disappoint. From the beautiful weather, stunning location on the Tea Garden lawn, and the generosity from the auction winners, it was an incredibly successful auction. MAF was able to raise over $18,000, which will support MAF’s architecture-based K-12 educational initiatives, as well as programs that enhance Michigan communities and improve the lives of our residents.
A wide variety of auction items were available including sporting event tickets, wine baskets, and experiences in Detroit and Traverse City.
With every generous donation, MAF can further achieve our mission of advancing awareness of how architecture enriches life.
“On a personal note, it is always heartwarming to see how passionate our state and region are about architecture, community, and furthering the profession through education, mentorship and meaningful engagement,” said Kim Montague, MAF Auction Committee Chair. “Whether it’s supporting the next generation of architects or fostering public appreciation for the built environment, your contributions make a lasting impact. Events like the Auction for Education remind us that when we come together—with purpose and generosity—we build more than structures, we build futures.”
